What is a Functional Capacity Assessment?
A functional Capacity Assessment (or FCA) is a practitioner's evaluation of an individual's ability to complete the tasks of their daily life at home, work, and in the community.
An FCA can be an important first step in ensuring that an individual receives the level of support they require to successfully navigate their daily life.
I recommend each new client undertake an FCA prior to starting regular OT services.
